Experiment Information:

The HS3 flights in August and September 2014 are the third and final in a series of science flights for HS3 using the NASA Global Hawk unmanned platforms. Two Global Hawk aircraft will be used to make measurements in and around hurricanes. One platform is outfitted with sensors to probe inside hurricanes. The other platform is outfitted to study the environment around hurricanes. Information on the HS3 mission, science objectives, and instrument payload can be found at the HS3 web site. The HS3 flights are conducted out of Wallops Flight Facility in Wallops Island, Virginia.
