Experiment Information:

The Polarimeter Definition Experiment (PODEX) is a NASA effort to test polarimeter designs as potential candidates for inclusion in the Aerosol-Clouds-Ecosystems (ACE) mission. Three different polarimeters (AirMSPI from JPL, RSP from GISS, and PACS from UMBC/GSFC) are being flown to demonstrate measurement of physical properties of aerosols and clouds. The flights January 16 to February 8 are based out of Palmdale, California.
