ACE RADEX flights

Patrick and Rebecca

Experiment Information:

The Radar Definition Experiment (RADEX) field campaign is a NASA effort to test radar instrument designs as potential candidates for inclusion in the Aerosol-Clouds-Ecosystems (ACE) mission. As part of the ER-2 payload, the CPL provides a different perspective and measurement synergy with the radars. The NASA ER-2 is operating in synergy with the DC-8 and the OLYMPEX field campaign and many of the flights are coordinated between the two aircraft. The flights during November and December 2015 are based out of McChord Air Force Base, Washington (near Seattle).
