CALIPSO validation flights
Experiment Information:
These flights in July 2009 are intended to validate the calibration algorithms for the CALIPSO satellite. The Cloud Physics Lidar is a primary validation tool for the CALIPSO lidar. The validation mission is based out of Wright-Patterson Air Force Base is Dayton, Ohio.
Payload for the validation mission includes the Cloud Physics Lidar (CPL), and the Airborne Visible/Infrared Imaging Spectrometer (AVIRIS).
